Marqués de Valdueza olive oil is produced in the Perales de Miraflores estate, a property of the Álvarez de Toledo family for many generations. It is located close to Merida in the community of Extremedura, in western Spain.
The tradition of olive oil production goes back a very long time. Merida (Emeriat Augusta) was the capital of Lusitania during the Roman Empire, where olive trees and grapevines were grown to meet Rome's needs.
It has been the family’s custom for many years to pay close attention to the environment and to reflect that concern in our production methods.
