Labrador tea (Rhododendron groenlandicum, formerly Ledum groenlandicum) is a low shrub with evergreen leaves that grows up to 50cm tall in boreal or Arctic regions. Only the last leaves are hand-harvested. Labrador Tea is also called Indian Tea.
While having a characteristic aroma, the infusion of a few leaves reveals a mixture of plant scents such as caraway, peppermint, tarragon and grapefruit. Do not infuse too long as this plant possesses a powerful aroma. Excellent in venison marinades.
